Stan Getz, New Sales Manager for VT

Visonic Technologies today announces the appointment of Mr. Stan Getz as Regional Sales Manager for the Western United States as well as the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. In his new capacity, Mr. Getz will be responsible for the promotion, sale and support of VT’s Active RFID/RTLS Safety, Security and Visibility Solutions to VT’s network of resellers, system integrators and end users. While primarily focusing on acute healthcare, Mr. Getz will also support VT’s marketing and sales strategies of Elpas RTLS and SpiderAlert Emergency Signaling Solutions into assisted living facilities, museums, prisons and intelligent building environments.

 Before joining Visonic Technologies, Mr. Getz recently served as a Regional Sales VP at Intelligent InSites. His background also includes extensive western regional sales management experience with Patient Care Technology Systems (PCTS).

New from VT, VisAccess – ViconNet V6 Integration

This easy to employ integration, enables security professionals to connect Eiris based, VisAccess Access Control  Systems to ViconNet Video Management Software to build comprehensive security management platforms.

The ability of VT’s Eiris Tracking and Mangement Software to generate ViconNet compatible XML bookmark messages enables ViconNet-V6 to perform the appropriate actions in response to VisAccess  events.

Using  these Eiris generated bookmark messages, ViconNet-V6 can be preconfigured to trigger such response functionalities as: the displaying and/or recording of live video streams, triggering predetermined camera movements, the running of macros and the automatic generation of event logs for archiving when, where and what occurred for each access control alarm event.

Enhanced Elpas Reusable Tag for Infant Protection & High-Risk Patient Applications

VT announces the availability of its enhanced Elpas Active RFID/RTLS Reusable Tag.  The tag’s unique form factor and comfort makes it ideal  for protecting infants from abduction in maternity units or for the monitoring and tracking of high-risk patients who wander.

The tag’s dual technology transmitter emits  radio frequency (RF) messages plus infra-red (IR) messages that can be used to determine the location of the infant or patient to room level and sub-room level precision in open and enclosed indoor spaces without EMF interference to hospital equipment. The tag also has  a low frequency (LF) receiver that supports chokepoint area detection.

The Reusable Tag  supports Elpas2; VT’s new, innovative topology for backhauling RFID/RTLS security and safety solutions over wired or wireless Ethernet/Wi-Fi networks and also complements VT‘s growing portfolio of 433MHz Active RFID/RTLS tags for asset security and utilization, personnel and patient safety and remote sensor applications.

VT appoints David Fensterheim to head new Professional Services Group

David Promotion Image - BlogVisonic Technologies today announced the promotion of David Fensterheim to Vice President of VT’s new Professional Services Group. Mr. Fensterheim will be a member of senior VT management and will report directly to President and CEO Michael Wasserstein. Mr. Fensterheim has previously served as VT’s Product Director and was extensively involved in the planning and launch of the company’s new Elpas2 network topology. Mr. Fensterheim has also held leadership roles in a number of other companies including ForSoft Ltd, The Formula Group and Geo Graph Ltd. He holds a B. Sc degree in Electro-Optics from the Jerusalem College of Technology and has served with distinction as an officer in the Israeli navy.

According to CEO, Michael Wasserstein, “David brings the experience and leadership necessary to lead our new Professional Services Group. Filling this role with someone of David’s caliber will help advance the commitment to service excellence that we want to instill in our professional services organization, as we strive to create superior value for both our customers and partners.”

In his new role as Vice President – Professional Services Group, Mr. Fensterheim will manage a global team of service specialists focusing on improving partner and customer satisfaction through the delivery of advisory services as well as through the application of VT’s industry expertise in technical delivery. Mr. Fensterheim’s main responsibilities will be to upgrade and extend VT’s professional support service offerings in the areas of business consulting, technical design, project management and commissioning, post-installation support and review, plus partner and customer training.

After years in its cramped 4th floor offices in North Tel Aviv, Visonic Technologies has upped desks & belongings and has moved to new headquarters in the heart of Israel’s ‘Silicon Valley. The new workplace boasts twice the floor space to accommodate the ongoing expansion of VT’s marketing, sales and product development activities.
