VT appoints David Fensterheim to head new Professional Services Group

David Promotion Image - BlogVisonic Technologies today announced the promotion of David Fensterheim to Vice President of VT’s new Professional Services Group. Mr. Fensterheim will be a member of senior VT management and will report directly to President and CEO Michael Wasserstein. Mr. Fensterheim has previously served as VT’s Product Director and was extensively involved in the planning and launch of the company’s new Elpas2 network topology. Mr. Fensterheim has also held leadership roles in a number of other companies including ForSoft Ltd, The Formula Group and Geo Graph Ltd. He holds a B. Sc degree in Electro-Optics from the Jerusalem College of Technology and has served with distinction as an officer in the Israeli navy.

According to CEO, Michael Wasserstein, “David brings the experience and leadership necessary to lead our new Professional Services Group. Filling this role with someone of David’s caliber will help advance the commitment to service excellence that we want to instill in our professional services organization, as we strive to create superior value for both our customers and partners.”

In his new role as Vice President – Professional Services Group, Mr. Fensterheim will manage a global team of service specialists focusing on improving partner and customer satisfaction through the delivery of advisory services as well as through the application of VT’s industry expertise in technical delivery. Mr. Fensterheim’s main responsibilities will be to upgrade and extend VT’s professional support service offerings in the areas of business consulting, technical design, project management and commissioning, post-installation support and review, plus partner and customer training.

VT Adds Elpas2 RF Ethernet Reader to RFID/RTLS Porfolio

RF Ethernet ReaderVisonic Technologies (VT), announces the immediate availability of the new Elpas2 RF Ethernet Reader. This 433MHz, RFID/RTLS reader is designed to detect and relay ‘Location’ and ‘State’ data from Elpas Active RFID Asset, Personnel or Infant Protection Tags to host applications over wired or wireless Ethernet/Wi-Fi networks to enable the real-time monitoring and tracking of assets or personnel.

The Elpas2 RF Ethernet Reader supports large tag populations in indoor office environments. On-board I/O ports enable the monitoring of one analogue alarm input and control of two open-collector digital switched outputs. The reader also supports XML messaging for integration with 3rd party applications plus full-duplex RS-485 data transmission.
