VT appoints David Fensterheim to head new Professional Services Group

Visonic Technologies today announced the promotion of David Fensterheim to Vice President of VT’s new Professional Services Group. Mr. Fensterheim will be a member of senior VT management and will report directly to President and CEO Michael Wasserstein. Mr. Fensterheim has previously served as VT’s Product Director and was extensively involved in the planning and launch of the company’s new Elpas2 network topology. Mr. Fensterheim has also held leadership roles in a number of other companies including ForSoft Ltd, The Formula Group and Geo Graph Ltd. He holds a B. Sc degree in Electro-Optics from the Jerusalem College of Technology and has served with distinction as an officer in the Israeli navy.

According to CEO, Michael Wasserstein, “David brings the experience and leadership necessary to lead our new Professional Services Group. Filling this role with someone of David’s caliber will help advance the commitment to service excellence that we want to instill in our professional services organization, as we strive to create superior value for both our customers and partners.”

In his new role as Vice President – Professional Services Group, Mr. Fensterheim will manage a global team of service specialists focusing on improving partner and customer satisfaction through the delivery of advisory services as well as through the application of VT’s industry expertise in technical delivery. Mr. Fensterheim’s main responsibilities will be to upgrade and extend VT’s professional support service offerings in the areas of business consulting, technical design, project management and commissioning, post-installation support and review, plus partner and customer training.

VT Adds Elpas2 RF Ethernet Reader to RFID/RTLS Porfolio

Visonic Technologies (VT), announces the immediate availability of the new Elpas2 RF Ethernet Reader. This 433MHz, RFID/RTLS reader is designed to detect and relay ‘Location’ and ‘State’ data from Elpas Active RFID Asset, Personnel or Infant Protection Tags to host applications over wired or wireless Ethernet/Wi-Fi networks to enable the real-time monitoring and tracking of assets or personnel.

The Elpas2 RF Ethernet Reader supports large tag populations in indoor office environments. On-board I/O ports enable the monitoring of one analogue alarm input and control of two open-collector digital switched outputs. The reader also supports XML messaging for integration with 3rd party applications plus full-duplex RS-485 data transmission.

“The RF Ethernet Reader highlights our technological commitment to Elpas2; our new, innovative topology for backhauling RFID/RTLS security and safety solutions over existing

IT backbones” said Michael Wasserstein, CEO of Visonic Technologies. “Additionally, this new reader is the only commercially available RFID/RTLS Ethernet reader that is flush mountable into drop/suspended ceilings or that can easily be suspended from overhead wiring grids; making it ideal for healthcare, senior living or office environments.

The Elpas2 RF Ethernet Reader is intended to complement and add to VT’s portfolio of LonWork compatible network infrastructure devices; and will be marketed through VT’s worldwide network of qualified partners.

After years in its cramped 4^th floor offices in North Tel Aviv, Visonic Technologies has upped desks & belongings and has moved to new headquarters in the heart of Israel’s ‘Silicon Valley. The new workplace boasts twice the floor space to accommodate the ongoing expansion of VT’s marketing, sales and product development activities.

Almost 3 years ago,  in the Active RFID summit (Atlanta, USA), we had a decent representation for Visonic Technologies – Tuviya Katz.

“An All Weather Asset Tracking Tag”

“Tel Aviv-based Visonic Technologies has released an All Weather Asset Tracking Tag that provides a robust tag for tagging and monitoring heavy industrial mobile assets and has significantly reduced the needed infrastructure by greatly increasing the tag’s radio range.
It is capable of communicating using a number of standard radio protocols that are in use in both the supply chain and security industries. The new tag features continuous long range RF communication with the control network; an LF receiver for reporting when the tag passes a particular gate; a motion sensor; a tamper sensor; and an optional temperature sensor.”
